धारा 125 भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम – अपराधों के करने के बारे में जानकारी —
कोई भी मजिस्ट्रेट या पुलिस ऑफिसर यह कहने के लिए विवश नहीं किया जाएगा कि किसी अपराध के किए जाने के बारे में उसे कोई जानकारी कहां से मिली और किसी भी राजस्व ऑफिसर को यह कहने के लिए विवश नहीं किया जाएगा कि उसे लोकराजस्व के विरुद्ध किसी अपराध के किए जाने के बारे में कोई जानकारी कहां से मिली।
स्पष्टीकरण –– इस धारा मे “राजस्व ऑफिसर” से लोक राजस्व की किसी शाखा के कारबार में या के बारे में नियोजित ऑफिसर अभिप्रेत है।
Section 125 Indian Evidence Act – 1[Information as to commission of offences. —
No Magistrate or police-officer shall be compelled to say whence he got any information as to the commission of any offence, and no revenueofficer shall be compelled to say whence he got any information as to the commission of any offence against the public revenue.
Explanation. — Revenue-officer in this section means any officer employed in or about the business of any branch of the public revenue.]
