सीआरपीसी की धारा 36 – वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों की शक्तियाँ —
पुलिस थाने के भारसाधक अधिकारी से पंक्ति में वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी जिस स्थानीय क्षेत्र में नियुक्त है, उसमें सर्वत्र, उन शक्तियों का प्रयोग कर सकते हैं जिनका प्रयोग अपने थाने की सीमाओं के अन्दर ऐसे अधिकारी द्वारा किया जा सकता है।

Police officers superior in rank to an officer in charge of a police station may exercise the same powers, throughout the local area to which they are appointed, as may be exercised by such officer within the limits of his station.
