धारा 1 घरेलू हिंसा अधिनियम 2005 – संक्षिप्त नाम, विस्तार और प्रारंभ–

(1) इस अधिनियम का संक्षिप्त नाम घरेलू हिंसा से महिलाओ संरक्षण अधिनियम, 2005 है ।

(2) इसका विस्तार संपूर्ण भारत पर है ।

(3) यह उस तारीख को प्रवृत्त होगा, जिसे केद्रीय सरकार, राजपत्र में अधिसूचना द्वारा, नियत करे ।

Section 1 Domestic Violence Act – Short title, extent and commencement –

(1) This Act may be called the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

(2) It extends to the whole of India ¹***.

(3) It shall come into force on such date² as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
