मोटर यान अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 187 : – दुर्घटना संबंधी अपराधों के लिए दण्ड —
जो कोई धारा 132 की उपधारा (1) के खण्ड [(क)] या धारा 133 या धारा 134 के उपबंधों का अनुपालन करने में असफल रहेगा वह कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि छह मास तक की हो सकेगी, या पांच हजार रुपए के जुर्माने से, अथवा दोनों से, अथवा इस धारा के अधीन अपराध के लिए पहले ही दोषसिद्ध हो चुकने पर इस धारा के अधीन अपराध के लिए पुनः दोषसिद्ध होने की दशा में कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि एक वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या दस हजार रुपए के जुर्माने से, अथवा दोनों से, दण्डनीय होगा ।
Section 187 of MV Act 1988 :- Punishment for offences relating to accident —
Whoever fails to comply with the provisions of clause [(a)] of sub-section (1) of section 132 or of section 133 or section 134 shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine of five thousand rupees, or with both or, if having been previously convicted of an offence under this section, he is again convicted of an offence under this section, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine of ten thousand rupees, or with both.
