धारा 6 एनडीपीएस एक्ट — स्वापक औषधि और मनःप्रभावी पदार्थ परामर्श समिति –
(1) केन्द्रीय सरकार, राजपत्र में अधिसूचना द्वारा, “स्वापक औषधि और मनःप्रभावी पदार्थ परामर्श समिति” के नाम से ज्ञात एक सलाहकार समिति (जिसे इस धारा में इसके पश्चात् समिति कहा गया है) केन्द्रीय सरकार को, इस अधिनियम के प्रशासन से संबंधित ऐसे विषयों पर, जो उस सरकार द्वारा, समय-समय पर, उसे निर्देशित किए जाएं, सलाह देने के लिए गठित कर सकेगी ।
(2) समिति, एक अध्यक्ष और बीस से अनधिक ऐसे अन्य सदस्यों से मिलकर बनेगी जो केन्द्रीय सरकार नियुक्त करे ।
(3) समिति की बैठक तब की जाएगी जब केन्द्रीय सरकार ऐसा करने की अपेक्षा करे और उसे अपनी प्रक्रिया को विनियमित करने की शक्ति होगी ।
(4) समिति, यदि वह अपने किन्हीं कृत्यों के दक्ष पालन के लिए ऐसा करना समीचीन समझे तो, एक या अधिक उप-समितियां गठित कर सकेगी और ऐसी किन्हीं उप-समितियों में, ऐसे किसी व्यक्ति को (जिसके अन्तर्गत ऐसा व्यक्ति है जो पदधारी नहीं है), जो समिति का सदस्य नहीं है, साधारणतया या किसी विशिष्ट विषय पर विचार करने के लिए, नियुक्त कर सकेगी ।
(5) अध्यक्ष और समिति के अन्य सदस्यों की पदावधि, उनके पदों में आकस्मिक रिक्तियां भरने की रीति और उन्हें संदेय भत्ते यदि कोई हों, तथा ऐसी शर्तें और निर्बन्धन, जिनके अधीन रहते हुए समिति ऐसे किसी व्यक्ति को, जो समिति का सदस्य नहीं है, अपनी किसी उप-समिति में से किसी को सदस्य के रूप में नियुक्त कर सकेगी, ऐसे होंगे जो केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा बनाए गए नियमों द्वारा विहित किए जाएं ।
Section 6 NDPS Act in Hindi —The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropie Substances Consultative Committee —
(1) The Central Government may constitute, by notification in the Official Gazette, an advisory committee to be called “The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Consultative Committee” (hereafter in this section referred to as the Committee) to advise the Central Government on such matters relating to the administration of this Act as are referred to it by that Government from time to time. धारा 6 एनडीपीएस एक्ट
(2) The Committee shall consist of a Chairman and such other members, not exceeding twenty, as may be appointed by the Central Government. धारा 6 एनडीपीएस एक्ट
(3) The Committee shall meet when required to do so by the Central Government and shall have power to regulate its own procedure.
(4) The Committee may, if it deems it necessary so to do for the efficient discharge of any of its functions, constitute one or more sub-committees and may appoint to any such sub-committee, whether generally or for the consideration of any particular matter, any person (including a non-official) who is not a member of the Committee.
(5) The term of office of, the manner of filling casual vacancies in the offices of and the allowances, if any, payable to, the Chairman and other members of the Committee, and the conditions and restrictions subject to which the Committee may appoint a person who is not a member of the Committee as a member of any of its sub-committees, shall be such as may be prescribed by rules made by the Central Government.
