धारा 6 महिलाओं का कार्यस्थल पर लैंगिक उत्पीड़न अधिनियम – स्थानीय परिवाद समिति का गठन और उसकी अधिकारिता —
(1) ऐसे स्थापनों से लैंगिक उत्पीड़न के परिवाद प्राप्त करने के लिए जहाँ दस से कम कर्मकारों के होने के कारण आंतरिक परिवाद समिति गठित नहीं की गई है या यदि परिवाद नियोजक के ही विरुद्ध है, तो प्रत्येक जिला अधिकारी, संबंधित जिले में, ‘स्थानीय परिवाद समिति’ नामक एक समिति का गठन करेगा।
(2) जिला अधिकारी, परिवाद प्राप्त करने के लिए और उन्हें सात दिन की कालावधि के भीतर संबंधित स्थानीय परिवाद समिति को अग्रेषित करने के लिए, ग्रामीण या जनजाति क्षेत्र में प्रत्येक ब्लॉक, तालुक और तहसील में और शहरी क्षेत्र में वार्ड और नगरपालिका में एक नोडल अधिकारी पदाभिहित करेगा।
(3) स्थानीय परिवाद समिति की अधिकारिता जिले के उन क्षेत्रों तक विस्तारित होगी जहाँ वह गठित की गई है।
6 Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act – Constitution and jurisdiction of Local Complaints Committee –
(1) Every District Officer shall constitute in the district concerned, a committee to be known as the “1 [Local Committee]” to receive complaints of sexual harassment from establishments where the 2 [Internal Committee] has not been constituted due to having less than ten workers or if the complaint is against the employer himself.
(2) The District Officer shall designate one nodal officer in every block, taluka and tehsil in rural or tribal area and ward or municipality in the urban area, to receive complaints and forward the same to the concerned 3 [Local Committee] within a period of seven days.
(3) The jurisdiction of the 3 [Local Committee] shall extend to the areas of the district where it is constituted.
