मोटर यान अधिनियम 1988 की धारा 198 : – यान में अनधिकृत हस्तक्षेप —
जो कोई विधिपूर्ण प्राधिकार या युक्तियुक्त प्रतिहेतु के बिना किसी खड़े हुए मोटर यान में प्रवेश करेगा या चढ़ेगा या मोटर यान के ब्रेक या यंत्र जाल के किसी भाग को बिगाड़ेगा वह एक हजार रुपए के जुर्माने से, दण्डनीय होगा ।
section 198 of MV Act 1988 :- Unauthorised interference with vehicle —
Whoever otherwise than with lawful authority or reasonable excuse enters or mounts any stationary motor vehicle or tampers with the brake or any part of the mechanism of a motor vehicle shall be punishable with fine [of one thousand rupees.
