IPC की धारा 309 — आत्महत्या करने का प्रयत्न –
जो कोई आत्महत्या करने का प्रयत्न करेगा, और उस अपराध के करने के लिए कोई कार्य करेगा वह सादा कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि एक वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से, दण्डित किया जाएगा।

Whoever attempts to commit suicide and does any act towards the commission of such offence, shall he punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine, or with both
