IPC की धारा 252 — ऐसे व्यक्ति द्वारा सिक्के पर कब्जा जो उसका परिवर्तित होना उस समय जानता था जब वह उसके कब्जे में आया –
जो कोई कपटपूर्वक, या इस आशय से कि कपट किया जाए, ऐसे सिक्के को कब्जे में रखेगा, जिसके बारे में धारा 246 या 248 में से किसी में परिभाषित अपराध किया गया हो और जो उस समय, जब वह सिक्का उसके कब्जे में आया था, यह जानता था कि उस सिक्के के बारे में ऐसा अपराध किया गया है, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि तीन वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दण्डित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने से भी दण्डनीय होगा।

IPC Section 252 — Possession of coin by person who knew it to be altered when he became possessed thereof –
Whoever, fraudulently or with intent that fraud may be committed, is in possession of coin with respect to which the offence defined in either of the section 246 or 248 has been committed, having known at the time of becoming possessed thereof that such offence had been committed with respect to such coin, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, and shall also be liable to fine.
