धारा 57 किशोर न्याय अधिनियम 2015 — भावी दत्तक माता-पिता की पात्रता –
( 1 ) भावी दत्तक माता-पिता बालक को अच्छा पालन पोषण प्रदान करने के लिए उसका दत्तक ग्रहण करने के लिए शारीरिक रूप से योग्य, वित्तीय रूप से सुदृढ़ मानसिक रूप से सचेत और अत्यंत प्रेरित होंगे ।
(2) दंपत्ति की दशा में, दत्तक ग्रहण के लिए पति-पत्नी दोनों की सहमति आवश्यक होगी।
(3) कोई एकल या विच्छिन्न विवाह व्यक्ति भी मानदंडों को पूरा करने के अधीन रहते हुए तथा प्राधिकरण द्वारा विरचित दत्तकग्रहण विनियमों के उपबंधों के अनुसार दत्तक ग्रहण कर सकता है ।
(4) कोई एकल पुरुष किसी बालिका के दत्तक ग्रहण के लिए पात्र नहीं है ।
(5) कोई अन्य मानदंड, जो प्राधिकरण द्वारा विरचित दत्तक ग्रहण के विनियमों में विनिर्दिष्ट किए जाएं।
Section 57 Juvenile Justice Act 2015 — Eligibility of prospective adoptive parents —
(1) The prospective adoptive parents shall be physically fit, financially sound, mentally alert and highly motivated to adopt a child for providing a good upbringing to him.
(2) In case of a couple, the consent of both the spouses for the adoption shall be required.
(3) A single or divorced person can also adopt, subject to fulfilment of the criteria and in accordance with the provisions of adoption regulations framed by the Authority.
(4) A single male is not eligible to adopt a girl child.
(5) Any other criteria that may be specified in the adoption regulations framed by the Authority.
