सीआरपीसी की धारा 143 :- मजिस्ट्रेट लोक न्यूसेस की पुनरावृत्ति या उसे चालू रखने का प्रतिषेध कर सकता है —
कोई जिला मजिस्ट्रेट अथवा उपखण्ड मजिस्ट्रेट या राज्य सरकार या जिला मजिस्ट्रेट द्वारा इस निमित्त सशक्त किया गया कोई अन्य कार्यपालक मजिस्ट्रेट किसी व्यक्ति को आदेश दे सकता है कि वह भारतीय दण्ड संहिता (1860 का 45) में या किसी अन्य विशेष या स्थानीय विधि में यथा परिभाषित लोक न्यूसेंस की न तो पुनरावृत्ति करे और न उसे चालू रखे।

A District Magistrate or Sub-divisional Magistrate, or any other Executive Magistrate empowered by the State Government or the District Magistrate in this behalf, may order any person not to repeat or continue a public nuisance, as defined in the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860), or any special or local law.
